By using our Childcare Vouchers, not only are you saving money, but you are supporting our charitable work to improve the lives of working parents across the UK! Social enterprises are businesses that trade to tackle social problems, improve communities, people’s life chances, or the environment.  They make their money from selling goods and services in the open market, but they reinvest their profits back into the business or the local community.  When they profit, society profits.

100 per cent of Employers For Childcare’s profits are reinvested into helping working parents across the UK. Since 2008, we have invested £4.3million into helping working families. Our charitable work includes:

• Family Benefits Advice Service—our Advisors carry out personalised benefits checks for parents and ‘better off’ calculations to ensure that every parent is claiming all the financial help they are entitled to, particularly with the cost of childcare. They also deal with queries on all childcare and work-related issues.
• Research, Policy and Lobbying—we undertake research which provides us with the evidence to lobby Government on childcare, family and work-related issues. Right now, we are campaigning for Childcare Vouchers to remain open to new entrants after April 2018, so that parents can choose which form of support, (Childcare Vouchers or the new Tax-Free Childcare) is the best option for them. This is important, as 67 per cent of 4359 callers to our Freephone helpline (as of September 2017) are better off on Childcare Vouchers or Tax Credits than Tax-Free Childcare.
